Evidence-based
Movement Methods that Work for You.

We take the complexity, fear and confusion out of strength training for busy people with
injuries, health issues and pain.
And replace it with clarity, confidence and ease.
"For the more mature person, keeping active and out of pain can be a big challenge. I know this because I am 75 years old!
If I get a mechanic to regularly service my car, I can expect many kilometres of happy and safe motoring. Consequently, how do I make sure that my body, like my car, is in the best condition possible? So that I can keep jogging into later life and have energy left over for gardening, going to the gym and generally enjoying life?
The answer for me has been Lenny from Adapt Movement Physiology"

What is an Exercise Physiologist? An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-qualified allied health professional who specialises in exercise for rehabilitation, chronic disease management, pain reduction, and performance. We use evidence-based movement strategies to improve your strength, mobility, and quality of life.
-
Can you help with chronic pain or old injuries?Yes. Chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, and postural issues are our specialty. We help you move with confidence again by restoring strength and function — without flaring things up.
-
Can I train with you even if I have a health condition?Absolutely. We work with people managing diabetes, arthritis, back pain, heart conditions, osteoporosis, post-surgery rehab, and more. Every program is tailored to your health status, needs, and comfort level.
-
I’ve tried everything — how are you different? We focus on long-term solutions and give you the tools to self-manage. Our approach is collaborative, science-based, and individualised — no gimmicks, no fluff. We help you understand your body and take control of your movement again.
-
What happens in an initial consultation? We begin with a detailed discussion of your health history, goals, and concerns, because nobody knows you better than you do. We want to ensure we completely understand what it is you're struggling with, and what you hope to achieve. This is followed by a physical assessment using VALD technology to objectively measure strength, mobility, and balance. From there, we create a tailored plan based on your needs and goals to get you from where you're currently at, to where you want to be.
-
What is the VALD Assessment and why is it important?A VALD Assessment uses world-class technology to measure your movement in real-time. We capture detailed data about your strength, mobility, and imbalances — helping you train smarter, reduce injury risk, and see your progress clearly.
-
Do you offer online or hybrid sessions?Yes. We offer online check-ins, programs via app (TrainHeroic), and hybrid models if you travel or need flexibility. Many clients continue progressing with our guidance even while away.
-
How often should I have sessions? It depends on your goals, condition, and schedule. Some clients see us 1–3 times per week, while others check in monthly. We’ll recommend a plan that fits your life and gets you results — and we offer app-based support in between.
-
What makes you program or service different to other options? Our programs are built on genuine care, clinical expertise, and a personalised approach. We combine data-driven assessment tools with real-world adaptability — meaning your program evolves with your goals, lifestyle, and body. We specialise in helping health-conscious professionals, active retirees, and recreational athletes move better, feel stronger, and train with purpose. We’re not a one-size-fits-all service — and we’re okay with not being for everyone. If you value a thoughtful, evidence-based, and human approach to your health and training, we’ll likely be a great fit.
-
Can I claim private health or medicare?Yes. We accept: • Medicare (with a GP referral under CDM) • Private health (depending on your extras) • NDIS (self- or plan-managed) • WorkCover QLD • DVA (Gold & White card holders)

OUR 3 STEP MOVEMENT METHOD
01
ASSESS
Equipped with the skills of an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, we sit down with you to chat about you, your issues and goals, and your story - because nobody knows you better than you. We then run through a set of evidence-based assessments chosen specifically for you, that will allow us to create the perfect movement prescription.
02
PRESCRIBE
Based off your experience level, injuries, pains, health status, goals and assessment results, we design the perfect movement plan to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be.
03
DELIVER
Lastly, we deliver your movement plan with you either face-to-face or online. We provide helpful feedback and education to make sure you get the most out of your plan, as well as some laughs for good measure.
